MAY 28th Visit AUSABLE CONSERVATION NURSERY @ 11:00 AM (Wednesday)
@ 281 Bear Cub Road, LP – Will be given the background of the ACN & AFC, walk
through the propagation and production methods, discuss need for native plants
and restoration in the Ausable River watershed, tour the hoop house and green-
house where plants are being propagated. If the weather permits, we will walk
through the production field viewing the seedlings & transplants outside.
Please come prepared for the weather and walk.

JUNE 11th VERMONT TRIP to the HORSFORD GARDENS and NURSERY, (Wednesday)

There will be a guided tour and talk “Butterfly Garden and Necessary Plants”
We shall meet at 8:00AM @ Marshalls parking lot (Our tour begins at 10:30 AM)
* We will be taking the ferry across the lake and will car pool. *
THIS WILL BE AN ALL DAY TRIP! We will be making lunch arrangements at

Our guest speaker, Dr. Janet Mihuc, Professor at Pauls Smith College
Is a Entomologist, who is an expert on butterflies and moths. She will speak
of native pollinators and actions to save insects from global decline.

JULY 4th The 4th of JULY PARADE down Main Street (Friday)
Meet @ 4:30 on Parkside Drive where the parade is organized.
PARADE STARTS at 5:00 PM
We will be marching with YOUR OWN creation of a basket with flowers.
(Hopefully we will have a beautifully decorated truck following us!)
Of course, think RED WHITE and BLUE! We will be passing out candy!
JULY 13th A visit to ADIRONDACK VIEW LAVENDER FARM – U-PICK DAY (Sunday)
59 Thompson Road, Keeseville, NY. It will take about 1 hour to arrive so
we will car pool from the parking lot at Marshalls, LP meeting at 11:00 AM.
We are welcome to bring a pic-nic lunch to enjoy, as we admire the beautiful view!
There is a fee ($) for each bunch of lavender you pick. (They also have a gift shop)

JULY 30th Visit SUNWARM GARDENS – (Wednesday) Located @ 222 Swinyer Road,
Vermontville, NY. We will be having a TOUR and TALK of the flower farm.
We will car pool and meet at the Marshalls parking lot 10:30AM for the 11:00 tour.
Arrangements have been made to have lunch after the tour at 1:00 PM at the new,
RIVER TRAIL BEERWORKS which is located @ 79 Woodruff Street, Saranac Lake, NY
(This will be a ‘pay on your own’ lunch)
AUGUST 6th “FOUR SEASONS” FASHION SHOW – (Fund Raiser) A portion of the proceeds
wlll be for a memorial in memory of RUTH HART. It wil be at the
LAKE PLACID CENTER for the ARTS, 17 Algonquin Drive, LP . Schedule as follows:
SET UP 12:00PM, 3:30–4:30 In lobby appetizers & wine and raffles,
4:30-6:00PM the Fashion Show starts in the auditorium
