7/4 (Sat ) LP Village Parade on Main Street
Meet on Parkside Drive 15 minutes prior to start of parade with your own basket creation of red, white, and blue to march together to celebrate America 250.


7/9 (TH) Triangle Garden 10:00 a.m./Cheryl hosting at 44 Ruisseaumont Way
Note the morning start time. We want to avoid the heat of late afternoon! Cheryl is hosting the social time at her home.


7/15 (W) Loon Program at Adirondack Loj’
11 a.m.- 2 p.m. A detailed presentation about the life of the Adirondack loon by Dr. Nina Schoch DVM, founding director of the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation. Lunch by Adk Loj, approx. $20. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited. Watch for additional info in a late June email.

7/29 (W) Sunwarm Gardens 10 a.m.- 1 p.m 222 Swinyer Road, Vermontville, NY.
This will be a tour of the small flower farm and will include a talk about the use of IPM (Integrated Pest Management). If you would like to carpool, please meet at Marshall’s parking lot. It is about a 35 minute drive, so please arrive for carpooling promptly. The caravan will leave the parking lot at 9:15. Lunch at Rivertrail Brewery after the tour is optional. It is in Saranac Lake on the way back to Lake Placid. We will order from the menu and pay our own bill.

8/6 (TH) Triangle Garden 10:00 a.m./11:00 a.m. Linda Gebhardt hosting at 15 Wilderness Circle
This is another time we are choosing to work in the morning to avoid the late afternoon heat. Linda is hosting us for the social hour at her home.


8/12 (W) The Wild Center 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
A visit to the Wild Center for a self-guided or pre-arranged special interest tour. Possibilities are a nature walk, wildflower walk, or a session on climate change.
$19 Regular Admission; $17 Senior Rate; WC Members free. Bag Lunch or WC Café. Carpools will be organized.

9/10 (TH) Triangle Garden 4:00 p.m./5:00 Lisa G’s


9/16 (W) North Country School 10:00 a.m.
The Farm Manager of the North Country School gardens will be giving us a tour of the school’s gardens. An option to help with farm chores might be offered to members. We will know more about the length of the tour and whether optional chores will be offered at a later date. Look for an email with more details in late summer. The school is about 15-20 minutes away. If you would like to carpool, please meet at Marshall’s parking lot at 9:30

9/25 (F) Whiteface Mountain 11:00 a.m. Meeting at the Main Lodge near the eating area. Then we can sit down during the short presentation of the history of Whiteface becoming a ski center. This will be followed by a free gondola ride to the top to view the fall colors and the Lake Placid area. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch before descending to the Main Lodge. Bring your lunch and stay as long as you like.

11/19 (TH) Village Holiday Swags 9:00 a.m.
The annual festive event of club members making approximately 100 swags at the Uihlein Greenhouse, 281 Bear Cub Road, to be hung along Main Street. We start at 9:00 and end when enough are made. Triangle Garden maintenance is monthly across from the N. Elba Horse Show grounds. All Triangle Garden Sessions will be followed by a social hour for the volunteers. New this season will be two morning sessions with the social hour hosted by club members. Please check the calendar carefully.
