WILD EDIBLE PLANT WALK 

at Paul Smith's VIC,

Learn to identify local edibles with 

Cornell University Co-Op Extension expert, Pat Banker.

This is done on a very flat land directly outside the lodge

and suitable for anyone with limited mobility

The cost is $15.

We shall bring our own lunch and eat it on the lovely

deck directly after the walk.

Afterwards, we will be welcome to view an interesting

video in their indoor theater.

Those who choose may also visit the Butterfly House

on the grounds.

We shall car pool from Marshalls parking lot at 9:00 AM.

Must RSVP by June 2nd.

MEETING AND LUNCH 

at High Falls Gorge on 4761 NYS Rt. 86, Wilmington.

Eleri Smith is a gardener from Wales, UK

(who is now living here in Jay). 

Her passion for gardening began at

Canterbury Cathedral where she created beautiful,

functional gardens.

She was also invited to work for

Prince of Wales (who is now King Charles III)

at his private estate, Highgrove.

Eleri is also a trained clinical herbalist.

She is a passionate advocate for organic and sustainable gardening, and in her presentation to us she will be emphasizing the importance of these practices

in creating a beautiful and healthy garden for you and wildlife.  

Lunch $25.

ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY

PLANT SWAP and guest presentation with

Alison Haas of Wildly Pressed.

Alison is a "Pressed Flower Artist" who will be doing

a presentation of her beautiful work, a slide show,

doing a demonstration and explaining her

entire process.

This will be at John Brown Farm (indoors),

115 John Brown Road, Lake Placid.

This will also be our annual PLANT SWAP, so please 

bring a plant and you are allowed to take another

home with you.

Also, BYOB and HORS D'OEUVRES to share.

A very fun evening!

JULY

The 4th of July PARADE down Main Street

Meet on Cummings Road,

between the High School and Olympic Center,

to organize for the parade.

We will be marching with our own created basket of flowers.

Think RED, WHITE & BLUE.

The parade starts at 5:00 PM.

Tour of the gorgeous

MIRROR LAKE INN GARDENS 

with their head gardener Jillian Robinson and

Aaron Karpp the head groundsman.

The tour will take about one hour. 

After the tour we will have lunch at the COTTAGE.

This will be "Pay on your Own" ordering off the menu.

Must RSVP by July 5th.

MOSSBROOK ROOTS FLOWER FARM

614 Mace Chasm Road, Keeseville.

We will enjoy a tour of the flower farm by Anne, who is the garden manager. The flowers will be blooming beautifully

and the tour is going to last about one hour.

As they are also a "full florist", having their store in 

Plattsburgh, these flowers are what they use in their

floral arrangements.

We shall car pool from Marshalls parking lot at 11:00 AM.

There are picnic tables for us to use, so we are welcome to 

bring our own lunch and enjoy it prior to the 1:00 PM tour.

After the tour you will be able to

"PICK-YOUR-OWN-FLOWERS" at a cost of $1.00 per stem.

LAKE PLACID BOAT CRUISE

Seating limited to 20 passengers.

$35.

LUNCH AND GARDEN WALK

at the Moose Lodge Boathouse Restaurant,

30 Marina Way, Lake Placid.

Follow the path to the lake.

It is a self-guided walk of the garden.

Lunch will be at 12:00 PM, and we will be

ordering off the menu and pay our own.

OLYMPIC CENTER TOUR

We will meet at the beautiful new restaurant located next 

to the 1980 rink in the Herb Brooks Arena.

We will then have a guided tour of the newly

renovated facility.

At 12:00 we will enjoy lunch (you pay) at the restaurant,

enjoying the beautiful view and autumn scenery. 

At 1:00 we will tour the museum (cost $10).

This is the beginning of a 3 year plan for the Garden Club

each September to visit one of the other Olympic venues.

as we create our own autumn floral arrangements to take home.
